Marco Lucchi - Sehnsucht

Released a couple of weeks ago, but totally overlooked by me (there’s way too much music to check out), Marco Lucchi proves once more that he is one of the most innovative and creative composers/musicians in the Italian music scene. This is contemporary music with hints of Arvo Pärt, John Cage, Eric Satie, Brian Eno and Terry Riley.

And yes, Sehnsucht (german noun for “longing”, “yearning”, or “craving”, or in a wider sense a type of “intensely missing”) is the perfect title for this collection of four beautiful, sad, melancholic tracks.
